The Mixstory RCA Patchbay provides eight stereo inputs and four stereo outputs in a passive matrix configuration — passive meaning the routing occurs through gold-plated switching contacts rather than active buffering circuitry, preserving signal integrity without introducing the noise floor contribution that active stages always add to a signal path. The routing matrix allows any of the eight inputs to be assigned to any combination of the four outputs simultaneously — a single input can feed all four outputs at the same time, or four different inputs can each feed a unique output, or any intermediate configuration the setup requires.
