Internal foam padding on the case floor and lid protects rack equipment from impact forces during the vertical drops that baggage handling routinely produces. The case exterior uses 7mm birch plywood with steel ball-corner protectors at all eight corners — the highest-impact points in any transport scenario — and butterfly recessed latches on both the front and rear doors that lock independently with the included key set. Four stacking feet on the base allow cases to be stacked three-high without the top case contacting the latch hardware of the case below.
